Audio Project - Speakers, Sub, Bass Shakers

Well, I went to walmart and they had one for $67. So I bought that.
Now I feel really guilty about putting crap in my car, but if it works I suppose it's all that matters... we'll see if it gets drained tomorrow.

Well the new battery has certainly sped up starting the car, and haven't had any issues as of yet. I think I just killed the fragile stock battery which was going on 7 years, so it was about time anyway!
Now to work on the rest of the project!

No progress for a bit, I switched my focus over to pulling the engine out of my Celica All-trac. Fun stuff.
I have noticed some lousy vibrating coming from the boot, so I'm going to have to track it down and apply some sound deadening material. Haven't decided what brand I want to go with yet.
Will post updates when I have them.

Just purchased 20 sq.ft. of that stick sound deadener material. This will be my first time using this stuff. I think I'm going to check out Home Depot about expanding foam and possibly some foam sheets or rubber sheets to put down after I lay down the sticky sound deadener.
That should take care of any vibrations I suspect.

Nah, I just mean that tar + aluminum sticky material. I think the brand is eDead.
Here's a little compilation of the main stages of building the fiberglass box.

Working on the bass shakers now.
I felt the mounting holes in the Aura Bass shakers we're a bit small.
So I used a bit to drill out the mounting holes a bit, very easy as it's just aluminum.
I then plotted out were I thought it would fit level best and carefully drilled out four holes.
I then decided I'd cover the bottom with sound deadening to cancel any nasty metal vibration noises. I want the hole seat to vibrate as one.
When you unclip the seat from the base, you can slide your hand carefully between the base and cushion. So I put the bolts with washers threw the holes, then mounted down the shaker.
It's on there like a rock. Overall, very easy install. I probably spent about an hour and a half just figuring out what i wanted to do and putting the deadening down was time consuming as well. Now that i have a clear idea of the process should be very simply to replicate.
I will take more in progress photos when I do the drivers side.
For now here's the first run:
