antenna help pls
Hi all,
I have an aftermarket deck with no "am" capability.
How do I check to ensure the hook up the power wire is connected to the amplified antenna?
thanks

Looks like you did not connect pin 1 in the aftermarket harness. I did the same thing when I installed mine. Look that this link for a pinout for the connector

I have a 2003 S2000. I am confused about the antenna wire. There are three redgreen wires. One is wired to pin 1 in the car's wiring harness. There also is a large guage redgreen wire with a connecter on the end of it. There is also a smaller redgreen wire with its own connecter. I tried connecting the blue wire from the new harness to the pin 1 wire, but that did not seem to activate the antenna power. Thanks for any help.

Red/Green? On my '04 there is a small connector taped to the harness just ahead of the radio connector. It has yel/grn wires coming out each end. One wire goes to the antenna amplifier (it's taped to the antenna coax lead). The other end goes into the harness. Assuming yours is the same, did you plug this connector back together? In other words, leave it the way it was from the factory.
The blue wire from your receiver should be connected to the yel/grn wire on pin 1 of the large connector that was plugged into the OEM receiver.
