Plug and play. Ever wore is color matched on the harness the stock hu works fine just tried it Everything but the solid blue snt wire and the white orange illum wire are connected

no those would only change things with that headunit...i was talking about the settings on the aftermarket HU since that is what is giving problems....
are you sure that HU is good?

Funny you should ask, i swapped it with a different one and it worked. It was odd that it would turn on and function propley without sound no? Also, i think the amp is toast. I connected it directly to the battery to test and it was still in protection mode. Even got a clean ground behind the fuel filler tube.

power up the amp without RCAs or speaker wires hooked up.
if it goes into protect, you have a bad amp or inadequate power/ground
connections.
if not, hook up RCAs - if this causes it to go into protect, there's your
likely problem
if not, hook up speaker wires - if this causes it to go into protect, you
probably have a short in your wiring or your sub has too low impedance
