well, neither amp is playing anything. So i figured if the speaker amp blew, shouldnt the sub still be playing the bass b/c the sub amp wouldnt have blown also? Pretty sure the blue light is coming on with the subwoofer amp, so it should be powering up, ill go double check in sec.
What I did was take the voltage meter and touch it to the area the remote wire was leading into. It read power was reaching the amp, and that it was at 12v. So, maybe it was the meter just reading power coming from the remote wire and not the amp...In other words, How can I check to make sure the amp is recieving the power the remote wire is sending? How do i test for this? Did i do it correctly?

put the black plug - ground , on the ground of the amp... take the red - power to the power wire... if your reading 12v your good , now turn the car on , take the black to groun again , and then the red to the remote... if your reading 12 your good... if your not then your remote wire is bad. if your not getting power to main power wire then you've got a bad fuse somewhere...

so...the sub amp light is not on either. Does this mean no power is reaching the amps from the battery? OR does it mean the HU is not supplying any power to the remote turn on?

ACtually I decided to dissasemble most of my trunk and I re-screwed in all the wires again, check the power going to the remote wire and power line. Getting power to both. Turn on the radio. And it works! Dont know why it wasnt, maybe just a bad connection with the remote wire. What a pain. Electronics are so bitter sweet.
