Default amp stopped working?

I was driving today, a hot day, and turned the music up less than I normally would, but def. still up there, Sound clicks out...I figured the amp overheated and would kick back on once I turned the radio back on....Nope. Off and stayed off. Im assuming a fuse, could the amp be blown?
What should I look for?
The fuse in the amp itself looks okay, and I swapped it out with a fuse from my other amp, same effect(nothign).
If my speaker amp blew a fuse, why would the subwoofer not play? Wouldnt there still be getting power to the sub; therefore, I should still be able to play bass b/c my subwoofer amp was still working? Can two amps blow at the same time?
Any ideas? Could it be a HU problem?
Thanks

You may want to start by telling us more about your system.

Is your HU working?

Are you getting any sound?

Did you check the fuse by the battery?

Is the amp getting power?

Is your remote lead fused also? Did you check it?

HU is working, powers on and cycles t hrough all the difference functions. Gettin zero sound. I think If I turn it up max, I may be getting the slightest amount of speaker hiss, but it also might be my imagination....I would say no sound. I didnt check the fuse by the battery, but I will tomorrow. How can you tell if the amp is getting power? The amp for the speakers does not have a light. Remote lead fused? I have a remote wire going from the HU to the amp(speaker amp) and from the speaker amp, anothe remote wire connects to the subwoofer amp in order to power that one....there are no fuses.

Multimeter?!

If you don't have one, buy a cheap one....and measure the 12+, Remote.

Have you checked to see if you are on "mute"?

I think I have a voltimeter. Will this work?
What exactly do I put it to? 12+? Im not sure what that means. Sorry, the only thing I didnt install entirely myself was the HU because I did not understand completely how to wire it. Will I be touching it to the AMP? Or to where the remote wire goes into the HU(or comes out from)?

Im heading to pick up some new fuses...see if "looking" okay may not be the truth.

I dont know if it turns on at all...Doesnt make a clicking sound or anything, but it never did. and its an earlier model where it doesnt have a light or anything either.
I dont think I haev one of those:
This is basically what I have, but probably even too advanced for what I have.

Mine is more like a thermometer lol. Does check for power and will tellyou the voltage, and there is one other thing it does, but not sure.

Could the amp simply be blown? This had happened once before though, and after I turned the car on and off a few times, it came back on. Could it be a ground issue? But why would it stop all of the sudden?

By the way, I changed out all the fusees and the fuses for the distrib block...no change. I checked the fuse by the battery and it seems to be fine. I havent changed that one yet, but it looks to be in the same shape i bought it in.

Thanks for joining in on the fun .....OP says Main power and Remote are at 12V.
Amps apparently don't have a status light.

Dud....you checks the voltage at the amp(s) correct?

Are both amps not working?
