Default AMP & Speaker suggestions

Hi, I'm currently tired of all the electrical mess that I have from having two amps for my speakers and sub. Can someone recommend me a good amp for ~$300 (preferably less I'd actually like to spend $200 but I know there isn't much out there). Main Points enough to power some decent components and an old school kevlar infinity 10" subwoofer (i was running 100x2 bridged to it). I have no idea on what amps are good for SQ but I'm not looking for loudness as much as I am SQ.

I'm also in the market for some new speakers since I blew out one of the tweeters in my old alpine components (forget what model). looking to spend less than 150. I can't really demo a lot of speakers where I'm at since I have a very busy schedule and my location doesn't have very many audio shops. I'm looking for speakers that will produce pretty good midbass and warm/detailed highs (I know my description is pretty vague but i really hate harsh/bright tweeters). I listen to mostly R&B/Soul, Acoustic and hip-hop, if that makes any difference at all.

I'm currently looking at the Kicker 08ZX550.3 or Boston Acoustics GT-475 as amp choices and infinity 6030cs for speakers? I could be totally off though Lol, any help and suggestions would be appreciated.

I've heard the Infinity 6030cs tweeters are pretty bright. I have Boston Acoustics SL60s and love them, but they're a bit more than you're looking to spend. I don't know enough to recommend an amp that fits your criteria.

I have not heard them personally. If I had to guess, judging by the quality of the SL60s, I bet you would be happy with them. Or, *I* would anyway. Speaker choice is very subjective.

I have the Infinity 6030's and the tweeters are incredibly bright. I bought an outboard EQ and have 16K down all the way and 8K down 6dB just to keep them from ripping my head off
Besides that, they sound good for the money.
I don't think I would recommend them.
Amp wise, I would try to find a nice older Soundstream, PPI, Phoenix Gold, Nakamichi or A/D/S amp.

Just buy whatever you can afford that you're pretty sure isn't a total piece of crap. You aren't going to hear the difference, esp not in an S2000.

Serious.

I should clairify, **on an amp**.

Speakers... listen to as many setups as possible. I'm a big advocate of door treatment vs buying the most expensive shit you can afford when it comes to door speakers.

There's a breaking point for everyone.
