Default Alpine TME-M580 video output connector...?

Hello all, my s2000 came with an alpine tme-m580 monitor already mounted in the dash above the stereo. The only cord from the monitor to connect to a device is a male 8 pin din that sits on the floor which is hooked directly into the monitor itself behind the dash. I have never seen an 8 pin din connector...so I was wondering what the hell I need (such as an adapter) to use this cord?

When I press the power button nothing comes on and I assume this 8 pin din cord needs to be plugged into something else for something to display on the screen. The previous seller was kinda clueless when I asked him about it and said he had a friend that had used it once, but never used it himself.

This is the only thing I could find that looks like a reasonable adapter but I'm not sure...

Can anyone that has/had this specific model or a similar one chime in?

Sorry for the long post! Any help would be great I really wanna use this thing!
