all flip up screens will NOT work. They will hit the bulge over the radio. The only solution (that I can think of) is to cut the dash, especially if you want a 7.5" screen that is standard on most Navigation systems.

I would go all out. There is someone on this board who has done that, and he said it cost like $150-250 for the dash to be cut and trimmed out. Not too bad for custom work.

I guess that will work.....but it will take up more room and not look as good...IMHO.

Just my $.02

The DVD player he's referring to doesn't have a screen, that's what the TME is for.

the screen mount sounds like Dave's. (NFRs2000NYC)

you might want to check out his setup and get in touch w/ him.

FWIW, the NAV-200 is a combo navigation system/screen as a package, and the current sat-nav from Alpine doesn't support the touch screen interface.

Their new one, due out I'm assuming anytime, which supports XM NavTraffic will be awesome with touch screen support.

That setup is pretty nuts. :-0

It's good to know that the Nav-200 doesn't have touch screen support.

I want to just cut it out and install a screen I'm a little wary. I've had cars in the past that I've done mods on that could not go back to stock and it was a hassle to sell.

Thanks for the input guys

a new dash is only $350.00 and i am sure someone would by your "cut dash

BUT again Tomas aka thehoth has a great looking bracket that is invisable when the screen is mounted - it looks 100* better than those goose neck ones
