Alpine DVA-9965 Hu
Ordered my Alpine DVA-9965 yesterday. One question though, I have heard a lot of the newer head units have extra inputs for OEM steering wheel/dash controls. Is that the case here or should I order the DQube or Modify DCI? If so which is best for this HU? BTW, anyone else using this HU?

PM Sent. Issue I am having now is where to install the amp. I dont mind losing my spare but I am moving to CO (from TX) in a few weeks. Knowing my luck, I will need that spare along the way.
I think the best bet is going to remove the panels that line the trunk to free up some room...anyone have pics of the trunk sans panel?

do a search for installs...you will see many places for amp install. If looking for invisible install- Good candidate is the in the spare tire well, but you lose the tire if you dont mind. If you can find an amp to fit...you can put it next to the tire near the gas tank...
Do a quick search, you'll find everything you need.

Thanks for the link! I have been pouring through that thread for a while. My amp *might* fit over the gas tank but I am concerned about cooling for the amp...and having a source of high current above my gas tank.

if memory serves me, I think as long as the amp is less than about 16" long
and about 2.5" thick, it should fit above the gas tank. cooling will depend
on amp design, but a number of us have been running this way without
problems. fwiw, the vents behind the seats are there to vent the trunk, so
there is actually some airflow.
