Does this deck exist? I read a post, did a search, but couldnt find it again. If Alpine makes a deck that has an adapter for the side controls, I would like to know what Decks it works with.

so far i know of only two, one of the navigation fold-out types, which won't fit unless you stick it somewhere else, and the f1 status, their 3,000.00 unit, which i was thinking about, even got the adapter for it, but after seeing what sony brought out onto the market, the f1 doesn't seem like it does much, and someone here has made an adapter for the sony

 

Thats right, the KCE-865B (S2000 'steering wheel' control adaptor) is an Alpine Europe product, the vast majority of North American Alpine head units (exceptions include the 7990 and IVA-C800) lack the necessary interface socket to work with it.

 

As far as I know, US decks don't have the 3 mm female jack in the rear of the head unit, thus will not connect to the KCE-865B adapter. Best bet is to buy a Euro head unit and the adapter will fit. In Australia, the Alpine head units are Euro spec.
