Default alpine CDA-9851 deck

for those of you that have this unit or that know...

on the alpine site it says that it has "OEM Steering Remote Ready"

so do i need a module for the dash controls or not?

Yeah.. you need to get a DCI.. check out the S2k market place under electronics..

To make the Alpine OEM Steering Remote Ready feature work you need this: http://www.pac-audio.com/products/swi.htm Last I heard it is about to be released.

Your other option of course is DCI.

Do a search on the board. I recall reading a thread where someone installed this. It required a slight modification from the original harness.
