Alpine amps: V-series vs. V12 series?
Can someone please tell me what the difference is between these two series of amps? Looking at the specs, they both seem the same. Why are the V12's so much more expensive? Is it worth it? I'm interested in the 4-channel and the price difference between the two is about $200.

Yo I would like to know the same thing. I found some great prices on Alpine amps at www.wholesalesounds.com. Check that out.

Basically the V12 amps are higher quality, more feature rich and more reliable than the V-Power units. The V12's also offer more power than the V-Power units.
Are they worth the price difference? - The V12's sure look cooler
I had an older Alpine 4 channel amp that lasted for many years and I recently sold it. Very reliable and good sound quality. My only bad experience is that they do not like to see speaker loads less than 4 ohms (ie a 2 ohm subwoofer) - even thought most are rated to handle 2 ohms in an un-bridged configuration.
V12
Road tested and time proven, V12 amplifiers with their "no shut down" design keep playing when you need them the most. The Audio Quality MOSFETS and Subsonic Filter restore power and produce killer, tight crisp bass. They're also Bass Engine Ready meaning they can handle the juiced signal from an Alpine Bass Engine Equipped head unit.
