I have a CompuStar two-way. I like it. The range is reportedly better than the DEI alarms. (I have not tested it myself)
There are plenty of people that dissagree with me, but I have said it before and I will say it again:
Please do not install a remote start unit on a manual transmission car.
Let's start with the basics: There have been more than a few people who's cars have rolled away on them when parked with just the handbrake.
There have been more than a couple of people that have forgotten to leave the car out of gear and when they hit the remote start, crashed their car into the garage wall or over a retaining wall, etc.
You can do it, people have done it. I advice against it. (FWIW)
