Aftermarket Equipment. Alternator?

Aftermarket Equipment. Alternator?
I have just purchased some new stereo equipment, and I was wondering if I needed to get a better alternator/battery combo (or anything else for that matter).
I have the following amplifiers:
http://www.amazon.com/JL-AUDIO-MONO-AMPLIF...64366557&sr=8-1
http://www.amazon.com/300-2v2-JL-Audio-Amp...4366679&sr=1-14
If I need to post my speaker set up let me know. I'm working on a crappy laptop with a bad connection.

Nice. I went through several posts and it looks like people are running ~1000W off of stock altenator/battery. I guess the best to thing to do is to see.
I saw a few high output alternators on ebay though for about $250. Thanks for the help.

Hmmm... I'm not an engineer, but does getting a larger battery really solve any problems or just patch it up? I would think that getting a larger battery lets you last longer, but you still need to charge it up. There's not anyone on the forum that has an aftermark alternator?

I am really wondering how much juice the stock battery can provide, and if it can hold up to the amps I've posted without experiencing the "disco" effect. Do people running the stock battery with ~1000W need to run a charger on their battery every so often?

i have 2 amps totaling 2200 watts running off my stock battery/stock alternator, lights dim if i have it turned up all the way at stop lights, but if i'm driving, it's fine, and really it's "too loud" at stops
