Default AEM afr wideband 02 sensor

hey guys

im looking at purchasing an aem afr gauge with wideband 02 sensor. now the thing im not too sure about is where to put the 02 sensor. my mechanic told me that the 02 sensor has to be 'welded' onto the exhaust manifold, because your not meant to replace the stock 02 sensor?

the headers im running is the amuse one and that one doesnt have a spare hole for an extra 02 sensor.

would it be wise (what would u do) to make a hole in the amuse header for the wideband sensor? OR are we able to replace the existing stock 02 sensor for the aem wideband sensor? OR not get an afr gauge at all?

im just running I/H/E with stock cat.

your thoughts?

cheers guys.

**oops i think i put this in the wrong section - mods feel free to move it accordingly!**

Yes, you need to weld on an 02 bung into your headers before the cat.

instead of ruining the header though, you should get a TP with an extra bung

DAMN!!
so cant replace the stock sensor =(

don't really want to ruin an expensive header and TP's are basically illegal in australia due to carbon emissions.
