3 Questions regarding installing an amp
Hello all, looking for some advice on hooking up an amp to my stook.
I will be installing Lucid's 12" fiberglass box very soon and looking for some advice on the wiring of the amp.
Question #1: Where do you feed the powercable through the firewall in the engine bay to get the wire into the cabin?
Question #2: How big of a cable can fit through the hole in the firewall? I have a bunch of 4 gauge wire that I was going to use. (From my last car)
Question #3: What did you use for the Remote turn on switch on the amp? I usually use a lead from the fuse for the radio in the fuse box. Is this recommended?
Thanks for your help guys,

#1 behind the battery (you'll see if if you take it out)
#2 I ran a 4 gauge and a 10 gauge at the same time, not the easiest thing in the world, but not too difficult.
#3 I've always used a CD player with a remote turn on output. You can do as you've suggested, but also note that some newer amps detect a signal and turn on automatically . Just make sure the line is fused.

1. remove the battery and you'll see where the wiring harness goes through. take a coat hanger and punch a small hole beside the wires I wouldn't try to go through the same whole as the wire. tape your amp cable to the coat hanger and pull from the other side.
2. 4 guage wire is no problem
3. if you are installing the amp in the trunk. splice your remote wire to the hot wire of your accesosory plug.
