Default 2006 S2K I-pod Jack

Just bought my '06 S2k last month. I NEED an I-pod jack put in this thing. Can I hook one up? Where is a good source for this? Is it a big deal to put it in myself? What would a dealer charge to do it?

i bought this from crutchfield and it works great. I wanted to keep my factory radio controls (and it charges the i-pod as well)

/\ +1 ordered from SOS, no issues thus far but selecting tracks is a bit of a PITA.

Certain AP2.5s came prewired in the trunk for a changer. The iPod interface plugs in there. It took literally 3 minutes to get it working.

I have this and one of the channels go out intermittently. Noticed after two years. I checked it online and many other users experienced the same issue. Very annoying. Works when you start the car. After five minutes, you only hear from the left channel. Piece of junk.

I replaced it with an Alpine stereo that came with a free Ipod cable. Add a Modifry harness and you'll have an easy to install, easy to use, and a great sounding system. Advantages: You can play all your playlists, do artist, album or song searches. You can skip tracks forward and backward from the dashboard controls. I also like how the stereo volume is speed sensitive. Very much appreciated in our loud cars. Highly recommended.
