S2000 CR Club Racer Edition CR stands for "club racer," conjuring up the good old days when guys drove their sports cars to the track, raced them, and then, if the racing gods were smiling, drove them home again

I had a chat with a friend about Motons, JRZ RS Pro, and Tein SRC Evasive Spec. He loved the Motons and JRZs, but after switching to the Evasive Spec SRCs, he was pretty happy too. I think I will go that route when the time comes. So far the CR shocks are holding up just fine.

Darin says that my 75k mile old shocks are still fully functioning, but not at their optimum. He recommended just driving on them until I notice a severe dropoff in handling or weird noises.

I wouldn't swap suspension unless I was going to a Moton/JRZ/AST/Ohlins/Penske.

After briefly reading up on some Ohlins, I think I might jump on those if I don't go for the Tein SRC Evasive Spec. Damn I hate you guys for changing my mind so much.

Suspension is a very reversible mod

"as stock as possible" implies its already modified

I swore wo myself that my CR would stay stock. That lasted all of 2 weeks. I am only doing easy reversible mods though. Suspension is easy to reverse, however I can't "max" out the OEM suspension so upgraded would be a huge waste. As soon as I am competitive around the track then I can upgrade suspension. Until then, practice makes perfect on the OEM set-up.

lol, nope every intention of modding it for full track use. The only reason I bought the CR is that is came with alot of great extras than a regular ap2. by the time you get the lip, hard top, wing, suspenison, and steering changed out the CR made more sense. Will go with motons once the cr suspension gives out.

I have Motons and they ride much better than stock....
Lol. I find the $5k that's in my back pocket is pretty comfortable compared to Motons

(JK. I'm just jealous. If I had the cash, I'd buy them too. Co-drove a friend's S with Motons and it handled great once we got it dialed in).
I paid $2800 used and could probably turn around and sell them for $2500 easily. So really only $300 or so difference. That's how I rationalize it to myself anyway.

I just lowered mine on Swift Spec-R's. It's the perfect drop IMO and so far the street handling doesn't seem to have been adversely affected whatsoever. And if it turns out bad on the track then I'll just swap 'em back out.
