Default What tire size for my new wheel:)

Hey guys, just wanted your opinion on what tire size I should buy for my new Advan RG-D which I recently purchased.

sizes:
17x8.0+54 & 17x9.0+60

I was thinking going with the 225/255 setup, but wanted to see what you guys think. My GPW CR sets 100% stock.

My tires of choices are:
ADVAN Neova AD08R
Direzza ZII
Bridgestone Potenza RE070

Thank you all in advance for your help.

225/45/17 front
255/40/17 rear.

I have the ad08r's and love them.

I have the same RGD wheels and offset with AD08 tires. 235/40-17 In front and 255/40-17 in rear. I also have Swift springs and they look great. With the 8" wheel up front you can get a bit more tire width if you want but you will have a larger wheel gap up front given stock suspension. You can check out my build for close up pics in the Gallery section.

the sizes you picked are just right. you can even cram a 245/40 on that front tire and i think you would be ok. thats what i would do anyways since im autocross biased.

Looks like the right size to me, I vote for the ZIIs. I actually have some brand new 225 ZIIs I need to get rid of, but shipping them would probably be prohibitively expensive.

Agreed on this sizing... always been my favorite setup. I'd suggest the ZII's, pretty good bang for your buck tire on getting something that will perform very well, still have decent tread wear, and not entirely break the bank. As much as I love Potenzas, those RE070's are quite pricey... have you considered the RE11A's? They're new and priced about the same as the ZII's... I plan to go with those myself when I'm due for new rubber.

Hope you and your girl are doing well Tibor... wish we were still hangin' at the dragon, I miss those roads! Best of luck!

I ran a 245 R-S3 on my 8" CE28's and tracked on them. I liked them. R-S3's have a softer sidewall. Get a tire with a stiff sidewall. All the tires that you listed would fit the bill (unsure of the Bridgestone's). I would personally do the 245's, if you don't do that then definitely do the 235's.
