Swift Spec R.... Review
#282
i recently added some swift spec R's to my AP1. I like the drop and the performance but i am noticing the rear end twitching/jumping when pushing it hard,
I think its bump steer, but i thought it would only happen if i lowered the car alot more.
do i need adjustable toe bars or once i get an alignment i should be okay?

After reading all the reviews and experience here, I decided to go with the CR shocks/Swift Spec R on my 08 AP2. There's someone local to me that selling a complete and assembled CR shock and springs with roughly 11K miles on them for $800. Is that a fair deal, if not what would be a reasonable offer?

Apologize for bumping an old thread but I know many people on here have had experience with the swifts and have since gotten their alignment done.
I am on a similar setup as many. Swifts w/oem shock. Last week I went to get my alignment done and decided to go "UK alignment". Seemed ok but they are not able to get more than .03 of toe in the rear. Spec is closer to .28. Thing is, they can get .26 on the right side, but only .03 on the left. One thing to note: I was hit on the back left years ago and there was no suspension damage. Even got the alignment done back then (stock ride height) so I don't think something is bent but it makes me wonder if that's it.
Or, does the amount of camber I have make .28 of toe unachievable? Any help would be great.
Thanks

They need to dial in the toe and camber at the same time. My alignment shop had the same issue initially until I informed them that it can't be done one at a time (at least on mine) which is the case with most places that are used to just dialing it in at factory green.
I normally run -2.7 cam 0.14*/0.28* total toe in the rear.

That toe measurement is in "inches" and not degrees. Degrees will be a different reading... and even the camber out left to right that sh*t would bother me lol... and you don't need to do them at the same time that makes no sense...
