Obviously ride height is not the largest factor in a vehicles suspension dynamics, but as it directly affects the vehicles center of gravity and roll center, there is significant benefit to lowering most vehicles stock ride height to some degree. You could have similar impact by decreasing vehicle sprung weight but on most vehicles, the bang for the buck is better spent on quality lowering springs/dampers/etc. We've all seen too many examples in the tuner car world of lowering gone WAY too far, but this doesn't change the fact that lowering, in moderation, has the potential to improve almost any cars on track performance and, usually, its appearance too.
