S2000 CR Club Racer Edition CR stands for "club racer," conjuring up the good old days when guys drove their sports cars to the track, raced them, and then, if the racing gods were smiling, drove them home again

Default S2000 CR's for sale

I'm going to start this thread for people coming across CR's for sale, as a link to a car ONLY. PLEASE make a VIN specific new thread if you'd like to discuss particulars on a car.

This should do two things,
1) Create a quick, accurate, up to date reference for people looking to get into a CR

2) Prevent a lot of threads from popping up asking is this CR worth it?

This is not a FOR SALE thread.

Format should be

Year

Color

Location

Link to website

Just a heads up on this car: It has been in several accidents, including the front bumper, lip, and hood being repainted- extremely poor job. They painted over the rubber seal between the bumper and lip so it is chipping away. Damage to Drivers side rear quarter panel, a thick layer of bondo was applied and is now cracked out. In the areas that have been repainted, there is horrible orange peel with the clear coat so it is a crappy finish. The dealers owner allows his son to pick up "fun" cars at the Manheim auction in KC and tune them on company dime. The owner said his son was into drifting when he had this car, and the turbo was necessary. They have the receipts for $26,900 including the purchase of the car at auction, so they are firm on their current price. This is a pretty rundown dealership, and the owner didn't appreciate me looking over the car and pointing out the flaws, even though it was a salesman I was talking to. I wasn't rude at all, but he told me to go find one in better condition if this didn't meet my needs. I told him it was significantly overpriced for it's current condition, he didn't agree. It is also missing the side lid covers for the rear tonneau cover, and the pipe that lead from the intercooler to the throttle body was disconnected, so I'm not sure what was up with that. Beware of this car, I just don't want someone to purchase this site unseen like most people do with CR's.

I have a copy of the CarFax, and they seemed quite proud of the fact that it came back as a zero accident vehicle. I live about 20 minutes from the car, anyone interested in it and would like better photos of the damage; let me know and I can go and text the pics to you. My main concern was the bondo on the rear quarter, who actually knows the extent of that damage. I ended up buying an 06' GPW AP2 and will convert it to a CR. This car turned me away from buying another S sight unseen, and the only way I can get a CR is sight unseen. Until I pointed out the damage, they acted like they didn't even know it was there. I wouldn't recommend this car to anyone. It's sat for long enough, I'm surprised it hasn't gone back into the auction circulation, but as I mentioned above, they have $26,900 into the car, and there is NO way it'd ever bring that at auction.

Thanks expressive, but I was hoping someone had this GPW CR's VIN. The ad has since disappeared.
