why do you hate it? Those front rotors look bigger than stock, that would make it illegal for STR if thats the case.

The StopTech kit is LEGAL for STR and all classes above that. In order to be legal, the rotor must be larger/thicker than OEM, and the caliper must contain the same number, or more pistons. Dust shields can be modified to accommodate the brake kit, so no problems there.
The rule book is available at wwww.scca.com/solo
Edit: Didn't you also post in another thread that there is no reason for a BBK in these cars? Which is also way, way wrong. I'll show you pictures of brand new rotors that cracked under the heat and stress.
....now back to your usual CR content
**EDIT**
also the rule about regarding thickness.

Those STR 2 piece rotors are thinner than OEM no?
I checked the STR FAQ a handful of times and I guess i just missed the post on the legality of such.
Information on BBK for STR is very scarce here and some information might be outdated from my sources.

Well since I am no longer in STR anyways and just co drive once in a while in STR this shouldnt matter much to me. So back to the content.

So because my trolling motor is at full speed this morning as well...
So the first link you posted, you will note that the rotor is THICKER than OEM, his being >12mm, OEM rear being 12mm. You will also note that the kit was never produced as there wasn't a significant weight savings, nor was there an increase in performance.
The second link you posted is an under the hood thread talking about when to replace rotors. This has nothing to do with STR legal modifications.
I would argue that this would be a great time to replace a rotor. Saw this exact same thing happen at Sebring a few weeks ago....
As far as priorities for STR, yea, a BBK is way down the list of priorities (I didn't bother reading the thread), but if its a dual use car, a BBK can be a very wise way to spend a couple bucks. I've helped build a few STR cars at this point, one of which has been constantly in the podiums nationally, but I'm pretty sure that driver could win a jacket in a rental car.
Not trying to be a dick dude, but you keep posting incorrect things regarding what is legal and what isn't. You were correct in saying if it isn't specifically allowed in the rule book, then it isn't legal. But the BBKs are specifically discussed in the rule book, and it's very very clear. There is a ton of information in the 3R Wilwood BBK thread.
The rule book is available at wwww.scca.com/solo
*Mods, please feel free to delete this stuff from the thread, I don't want to clog up the CR picture thread with incorrect information from this guy, and me being an @$$.

Well reading owns me, and thats why I pointed out it was corrected later on in the thread it was legal. And thus why I no longer commented on it. No need to bash someone for being wrong, a simple explanation would have sufficed is all and great that you built many cars for STR nationally competitive as well. Not everyone knows everything. So again thank you for correcting me. please move on.
