If you read the rules it is geared towards people dropping weight and getting really silly: must have the same amount of pistons as OEM calipers or more, must bolt into OEM location, rotor must not be smaller then OEM. I was really hesitant on buying the kit until I did more research and found out it was a go for it.

Haha now i get it! I'm pretty sure you cant increase rotor size but i could be wrong. If a mod isn't explicitly said to be allowed its not, at least that's how I read it. In any case I don't think it matters too much for autoX, and if your local competition doesn'd mind. Pix of it in action!

The StopTech kit is LEGAL for STR and all classes above that. In order to be legal, the rotor must be larger/thicker than OEM, and the caliper must contain the same number, or more pistons. Dust shields can be modified to accommodate the brake kit, so no problems there.
The rule book is available at wwww.scca.com/solo
Edit: Didn't you also post in another thread that there is no reason for a BBK in these cars? Which is also way, way wrong. I'll show you pictures of brand new rotors that cracked under the heat and stress.

why do you hate it? Those front rotors look bigger than stock, that would make it illegal for STR if thats the case.

Those STR 2 piece rotors are thinner than OEM no?
I checked the STR FAQ a handful of times and I guess i just missed the post on the legality of such.
Information on BBK for STR is very scarce here and some information might be outdated from my sources.
