Fwiw, here's the FAQ I did on charting the changes three or four years ago, with CR specific info, links and images for the 08-9s. Might be some useful stuff there you can go off of.

Great thread. Surprisingly, I've never come across it before. I may try to consolidate some of the CR specific info stuff in the CR faq and put a link to this post to show the differences
Thanks!
Thanks!

If all you care about is amount of $ mods + power figures, then there is not much difference. A CR is by no means a Type R or meant to be one. The price difference is enough to cover for a hardtop if you're wondering why the extra cost.

Think of It this way .... The CR is pretty much the very last true sport car that Honda produced before they are completely heading to energy conservative vehicles

wow, so there is not much difference between the CR's performance over the average modified non CR S2000.
I was unaware of the price difference of the CR. If the retail price of a hardtop covers the difference than why not!

$2000 more for CR, +$1000 for AC/Radio.
Cheaper than a OEM hardtop

Modern efficiency and safety standards would never allow another similarly high revving car, much less a convertible. Sad really but makes the S even more valuable and coveted.
