Tracking on mediocre brake pads?

I have tracked with OEM pads and I though they are excellent, almost no brake fade. The tracks up here in my area though are not high speed tracks, barely able to get into 5th gear. My car still has the brakes from when my car was built, 3 track days and 44,000 kilometers on my car.

I've done two days on a set of OEM pads, new for the first day. The first day was totally fine. On the second day I began to be limited by the pads' fade. In other words, it took two days before I got enough confidence to be wanting to brake late/hard enough to exceed the limits of the OEM pads. Once I reached that point, I had to choose a couple turns on the track to be the "hard" brake turns, and go easier on the rest because after a hard-brake turn, the next time I'd go for the brakes they would be faded. Top speeds were in the 100 MPH range the second day. I also learned it is important to do enough cool-down circling after you come off the track or you will boil even race fluid after you park and the pedal will be soft when you get back in the car.
For my third day, I'm going with a set of pre-bedded XP10/XP8s and dedicated Centric rotors.

20 mins may not sound like much, but when you are out there it seems a lot longer. To get my car ready I got SOS rotors (just like the look tbh), hawk hp+ pads, super blue ans Challenge stainless lines. The pads have been ok first two events but most people use carbotech. Honestly after doing two days I would never want to cheap out on the brakes. When you are hurtling down a straight and braking so late, the last thing you want is weak braking. You say you just want to "have fun" but trust me, you will brake harder than you ever do on the street, repeated times.

^Yup. I ran an event about 2 months ago on the stock pads and it didn't even have very high speed braking zones and by the end of the day the brakes felt very sketchy at best. About a month ago I tracked the same course and had HP+ pads and it was a world of difference. Not once during the day did the brakes feel like they wouldn't stop the car and when braking they felt considerably better than the stock pads. I wouldn't even consider myself to be someone hard on the brakes either.
