Default TEIN Flex with Swift Spring?

I don't really like the spring rate of the TEIN, which makes the car more twitchy (it's 10/12, rear is of stiffer spring rate.)

I'm hoping that Swift will provide the spring that will set it to 10/10 (which means, only 1 set I suppose, but I'm going to change both front and rear).

Does anyone have any experience with Swift Springs modified TEIN Flex?

I'm doing this because there are too much weight transfer during hard braking, and hope that changing the spring can help.

Thanks in advance.

I'm holding onto this because if I switch away from TEIN, I'll lose the ability to change the damper setting by pressing some buttons

KWv3 looks great too, but I don't wanna fight with the fuel tank everytime I want to change the dampening force. If that's not so troublesome, I'm not against this suggestion

The other reason why I wanna change the spring rate is because my ride is having too much oversteer in current setting. And if I swap out the rear sway bar (or change it to the one from AP2 which I'm getting), I don't know whether my current coilover alone have enough roll resistence running on track with Racing tires.

Besides, I wanna know the cost of uninstalling the coilover, change the spring, and put it back on + corner balanced.

to your knowledge Leonard is the only one that works @ swift... they should hire me since there's only one guy that works there.... lol.

but, to the OP, my friend have tein ra's on his s.... and, it was a rather harsh ride initially with the 12k springs. it handled alright, but, it was harsh on the streets and it felt like it was jumping all over the place. since we already know swift makes quality products (and that he was going to ditch the tein springs anyways), so, we talked to Leonard @ swift and see what he recommends in terms of the spring rates and such... he recommended running 14k springs to better match with the ra.

after we put the 14k swifts on... to my surprise, the ride got smoother(this is also the case with the regular swift lowering springs, and the spec r's in direct comparison with the CR springs), and the car feels like it is sticking to the ground much better, as it didn't feel like the car was jumping all over the place like with the tein springs.

since it seems like you want to stick with tein.... i'd suggest you to give swift a call and see what Leonard recommends for the tein flex that you have

I've put Swift springs on everything from KW's to Cusco's. Some of them require machining to match the OD's but it's very easy to do.

Edit: Just looked at Tein's website and the springs they use look to be a standard 60 or 65mm spring. A Swift will drop right in. Just ask Tein for the spring length that you're using on your particular application and order the Swift spring that you want.
