Swift Spec R!
#31
Thanks Jumpman for the spacer drawing. I am having some made now. Unlike you guys, I also added Koni Yellows with my Swift Spec-R's and I love how they handle, but the extra drop from the Konis means that my car now sits uber low. Anything I can do to raise it up a bit will help as I rub fender liner almost continuously during turns at autocrosses.
Just to make sure I fully understand, the spacer will be placed on top of the tophat and get sandwiched between the tophat and the underside of the frame of the car, correct?

Well I added the spacers and it has helped the rode height of the car a good bit. I am at about 1 finger gap in the front and 2 in the back. This compared to not even close to getting a finger into the front and maybe a 1 finger gap in the back before the spacers. Again I am on Koni yellows with the swift spec R's.
Word of advice, if anyone uses the above template for the spacers, go with 7/16" on the diameter of the holes for the studs. Everything else was perfect, but I went with 10mm holes and I had to dremel them out just a bit to make them for just right. 7/16" is just over 11mm and had I machined them to this size they would have fit perfect from the start.
Also, if anyone is interested in me making them a set of these spacers, PM me. I laser cut mine from 1/4" thick stainless steel. They came out amazing.

I just changed to these from Buddy Club N+. The N+ were great but I never used them to there full potential. I set them once and left them. So I sold them and picked up some Swift Spec R's and an intake for my Z. Anyway, so far these are great! Very nice ride and perform very well. I can't wait to put more behind the wheel time on them.

Are you saying that the Koni upper perches are a little lower than the stock perch height? or are you using the koni lower perch?
Cheers

On stock AP1/AP2 shocks you dont need to do any modifications, and of course the CR shocks work well with these. It seems like when people run Koni it pretty much slams it. The Koni's lower more on my Civic too. It's probably because they are a low pressure twin-tube shock. If only Bilstein made HD's for our cars that would have been the best bet.
