Ya gotta love the definitions. It's like Taco Bell years ago they had to stop calling their tacos beef tacos because apparently to classify something as beef it has to contain at least 30 or 50% actual beef. So I think it had to change to taco meat filling.

I had a c43/c42 kit on order from dec 1 before the big price increases. Stoptech has pushed and pushed the delivery which was supposed to be 2nd week march to end of April and maybe may sometime. I have cancelled because now it’s just a gamble and yes a majority of what’s there is made in China, maybe final assembly is done in the us.

I have gone the sgb ap competition front and rear kits. I went with their sbg rotor and not the ap as my application is a little different.

I will do an unboxing when I get it. My rx8 calipers already showed up.

The original promise of the StopTech C43 is dead. MSRP is now north of $6000 and the pillar vanes are no longer sold. If you want replacement rotor rings you will have to pay $495 per rotor ring. On top of that, the clowns at StopTech will send you the wrong installation instructions and ghost your emails asking for support.

As someone who has a C43 kit, I wish I just bought an AP kit with the CP8350 caliper or the 5000R caliper.

The ST40 still might be worth it but I’m done with StopTech.

Has anyone been able to purchase the C43 sport kit within the past year?

I gave up last year after they pushed out delivery over 6 months. was supposed to be End of december, then pushed to March, then was told maybe june, so i cancelled my order. I wouldn't even go for it. Call Sakebomb and get the good stuff which is in stock and support is good.

now...i do think the C42 rear kit is probably one of the best rear kits out there for racing...but i like the large rotor rx8 kit i've got.

So I finally got my brakes in after a 9 month wait. Production of the C43 kit is early January, and they now come with aerovane rotors.
