Default STOPTECH BRAKE KIT - OPINIONS

Anybody using the stoptech Big Brake Kit 320mm x 28mm.

The rotors are not that bigger than stock(320mm vs 300mm) so just wanted to know how they perform in comparison to stock.

Ill be doing 350rwhp with my Turbo setup. Will it suffice?

Thanks

I love mine, but you will need aftermarket wheels to clear. Adds initial bite due to the larger pad surface, and the fact the pad has more leverage against the rotor as it's further out from the hub.

Do you really need aftermarket wheels to clear?

Why do they market it for the S2K without noting that. Hell i'd be pis#ed if i forked out for the set and they didnt fit.

Check out parts 3 and 4.

Not even close to fitting the stock wheels. If you search on this forum, someone tried with AP2V1 wheels I think, and they said it need 18mm spacers.

No offense, but damn near any brake upgrade, or most any upgrade at all is gonna require better than stock wheels. The stock wheels for the S2000 were too damn small, they may be light, but sidewall flex is very real, I'd make the wheel/tire upgrade the FIRST thing to consider on any car, period, mostly for the tires, as they are SO important. I don't mean this to sound condescending at all, just wanting to reiterate the obvious. Stock wheels are just not performance enough.
