Springs and spacers... (Espelirs on OEM shocks)
So I justgot my Espelir springs and prior to ordering them, I did research and found that these springs wil be the best fit. Now with that said, do I have to run spacers on the halfshafts? I did read the stickey and searched and didn't definatively find an answer. I just think its a waste since it is such a mild drop say compared to Skunk2s but then again I don't want to damage anything in the process. I have a 120k on the diff and axles. I unfortunately can't start polls so with people running Espelir's, are you running spacers?

I forgot to add this in my original post, but should I get a driveshaft spacer or axle spacers? Also I read that the two piece are better than the one piece, any truth to this? Any companies that are recommended? I know members were running into problems with the T1R spacers but that was due to user error in over tightening the bolts.

I'm nolt going to attempt this but has anyone gotten the one piece and used a band saw to cut them in half to install it? It seems that the one piece spacers are very inexpensive.

Given that your axles are over 100k miles and you are installing Espelirs (decent drop for springs) I would say you will most likely need spacers (or to swap the inner CV buckets). The only way to know for sure is to drive the car once the springs are installed and see if you have a vibration.

So the most recent response from a fellow S2KI guy is since its not going all the way to 2'' as far as the drop, I should be okay w/o spacers, can anyone confirm this?

I've heard that you don't need them for AP2s because AP2s have longer axles. The original purpose of these was to space the axle back to its original geometry (more stress on the axle when you lower it on AP1s supposedly). For the CV thing, you will just have to decide once you lower it.
In Japan axles are called driveshafts (what we call driveshafts they call propeller shafts), hence some being called driveshaft spacers and some being called axle spacers. They are the same thing.
