Skunk2 spring rates and Koni yellows Combo
I purchased my car with it already lowered with skunk2 lowering springs on stock shocks. Well, I plan on upgrading to some Koni Yellows, however is it a waste of time? Should I save up for some Coilovers? I dont daily drive the car. Its not even a weekend car. My goal is to be able to take it to the track once or twice a year and enjoy it on twisties every 3-4 weeks. What are the Skunk2 spring rates? Also does anyone have similar experience to this setup?

Koni make great shocks. The springs you have, are not great. You would be much better off getting Hyperco springs and a sleeve if you went the route of the koni, thus making a coil over suspension (which is technically what you already have anyway). Let me know if you have more questions, I have a DA (double adjustable) set of koni shocks and I also have sleeves.

No, I just have it and therefore I can offer assistance to others with Koni shocks.

HAHAHA!!! Ok. I wanted to be sure that's all. LOL!!! So what kind springs would you recommend? I looked at the ones you mentioned before but do you know what model it is? Cause i looked through their catalog and there were no vehicles matching certain numbers.

i just installed swift spec r springs and my car is daily driver. i have noticed over regular bumps it feels like oem and over larger ones it is noticeably stiffer. all around great springs. i would definetley pair this up with a set of konis.

That's because you pick a spring rate and diameter to fit your needs. You will be able to use 2.25 inner diameter springs. If you just want a stock like ride pick stock rates in 8 inch lengths if you want to lower your car.
