haven't noticed any clunking or strange sounds from my bc racing br coils.

bc racing customer service is pretty good based on my interaction with them.

good luck.

Thanks.

Like I mentioned before, completely disassembled the left rear coilover and found absolutely nothing wrong with it. Now I'm starting to wonder if it's something with one of the bushings or brakes.

Try swapping the rears side-to-side and see if the noise moves or changes.

I've thought about doing that, but the sound is definitely not from the coilovers. Especially considering I had the exact same noise(just not as loud), with my old Koni setup.

I'm thinking it has something to do with the rear end being lower. Possibly axles or a bad bushing somewhere?

CV cups would be the obvious culprit.

Do you think the axles would cause sounds like this? I mean, I don't get any vibrations under acceleration. I do notice every once in a while, I'll get some rumbling/shaking from the rear while accelerating after a turn(weight shifted).

That's interesting. How low do you have the car?

I have the passenger rear clunk/clang also. It really only happens when making a turn and going over some type of elevation change such as drive way entries. This is with KW Clubsports. I don't know if it was there when new and I just didn't notice it. Regardless, it's pretty much only when turning into and out of driveways which have steep entry angles.

It's only the passenger side rear. If I go slow enough, it doesn't happen. I've check every nut and bolt and I torqued them properly when I installed them. My only other theory was the exhaust hitting something.

Hmm... maybe I should mount my Contour camera down there to try to video it. Well, that's a project for next year after I get back from vacation!

My ride height is about 13" from the axle centerline to the fender.

Well, I came to realize something yesterday. I installed some new PSS9s yesterday, love them! Before I did, I raised the height adjustment on the BCs(about an inch). Went for a drive, and the sound was gone!

So now I realize it is something with the height of the car. I had the rears set pretty low with the BCs. The PSS9s are not that low right now. This makes sense, cause when I had my old Koni Yellows set on the lower perch, and with lowering springs, it would make the sound.

So I don't know why having the car so lower would actually cause the noise. But that's what I discovered yesterday.

I have the very same clunking noise in the passenger rear. (Tien Flex). But for mine, the clunking noise would stop if my top is down? or I have a heavy load in the trunk?

Going to try what you did over the weeknd and raise them up and see if that works.
