Hey folks I just wanted to post the size difference between a Spoon caliper and a Stoptech. In case anyone is wondering, the Stoptech caliper is the one with the red outline. Hope this helps!

Edit: Sorry I posted the wrong picture initially. It's fixed now.
Just to make sure I'm looking at this right, the Stoptech may require more clearance than the Spoon? If the Spoon requires LESS clearance, then that means the CE28n 17x9 +54 will not clear Stoptech. I want to know as I have potential plans to acquire 17x9 +54 wheels with the Stoptechs. I also assume the Stoptech Trophy kit has the same caliper dimensions as the original Stoptech caliper, correct?
I think you are looking at it right..Stoptech is taller and sticks out a little further. Does the wheel barely clear Spoons? In any case, you could run 3mm spacers and probably get away without extended lugs.

Well reason why I asked is because the first post states that the 17x9 +54 CE28n can clear Stoptechs. If that's true, I'm going to be an extremely happy camper in the future.

I have the 17x9 +54 CE28N and checked with the template, and they don't clear. Looks like 3-5mm spacers will do the job

Btw: I've also measured with the spoon template. I'm not sure how accurate the template is, but it looks like 3-5mm spacers are required too.

Wanted to see if anyone has or knows if the SSR-Type C RS wheels will fit over the stoptech.

Sizes would be (17 x 7.5 + 45) or (17 x 8.5 + 58)

any help would be appreciated.

I put the template on my CE28N 17x7.5 +43 and they do not clear without a 3-5mm spacer.

It seems that 3mm spacers are ok to run with stock hub bolts? Can you still get enough turns of the lug?

I'm pretty sure I remember 8 full turns of the lug nut with no spacer, so a 3mm spacer would still give you 6 full threads of engagement. I believe 4, maybe 5 threads is the minimum you'd want to run.

I see that someone fit the WedsSport 17 x9 + 49 on the front and cleared,

does anyone know if the WedsSport TC105N - 17X8.0 / 5x114.3 / +42 (TS Titan) would fit also?
