OEM Brake Pads and Centric Rotors
The next thing that I want/need to upgrade or change for my S is the brakes. The reason why I am posting this is because I want experienced answers with this set up and opinions.
I need to currently upgrade/ replace my rotors and pads. In the future I want to be able to take her to an auto-x event or even an occasional road course. This will only happen maybe two to three times a year. I want these pads to be able to withstand these trackdays with no problems. I am just learning how to competively race so I do not need the best set up right now but want something I can learn to drive on.
From all of the posts I have read, I understand that for the money the OEM pads are the best bang for the buck compared to other entry level pads. I dont want to spend anymore than ~$120 for a set of front or rear pads. To give you a better idea the S will be ~95% daily driven.
I have also read and figured that the centric rotors for now would be my best option for daily driving with the occasional track day.
I just have a few questions to ask.
First, Are my conclusions stated above correct or is there more that I need to know about?
Second, What are your experiences with the OEM pads and Centric Rotors?
Third, If you were in my position and have the experience of owning a few different set-ups, what would you do?
I appreciate all the help and advice in advance.

If you plan to autocross you are fine with oem pads and centric rotors. If you track you'll need to go with a more durable pad. Many of us go to carbotech xp10/8 or cobalt xr2. I plan on using hawk hp+ as they are the cheapest. You'll want to go with the cheapest blank rotor you can find since they will crack often from the abuse at the track.
