Need help deciding on spring rates.
Hey guys,
So right now, my suspension is Koni Yellows/ Ground controls. I bought the car roughly a year ago, and it was on stock blown shocks and these ground control sleeves. The Koni Yellows are about a year old, and I don't know how old the Ground Controls are. The numbers that are on the GC springs says I have 380/435 spring rates, but it feels softer and sloppier than my friend's stock 00. This made me want to get new springs but I have no clue which rates to get.
I don't really want to revalve my koni's. So a rate that my Koni's can handle would be ideal.
The car is an 01 to my understanding has the thicker swaybars. It's being driven on Wedsport sa90 with 215/45 245/40 Potenza G019 and is a daily driver and I do some spirited country driving.

I'd go 500 / 550 and if it oversteers too much, put the 550's up front. The Koni yellows have softer-than-stock compression, but powerful rebound, so they like higher spring rates. They also have a big shock body without an external reservoir, so it's too easy for them to ride bumpstops if you run your car any lower than an inch below stock. Still, you might want to cut your bumpstops in 1/2 or get ground control's "race upper mount," which gives you another inch of bump travel in the rear. The one for the civic works fine I hear.
