Default Need help to choose brake pads

Hi guys, I am thinking to change rotors and brake pad the same time.
I was thinking slotted StopTech but I don't know what pads will go with StopTech and less dust and noise.

Thanks in advance

What are you expecting to do with the car? Just casual street driving?

Slotted Stoptech rotors aren't a bad way to go. If you want better performing pads with less dust and noise the Street Performance pads are also a great choice. We sell packages that include this setup.

If you don't mind a little more dust and want something with more bite I'd look into some Hawk pads.

Hi, Matt. it is gonna be a daily driving. What is your suggestion? dust and noise the minimal the better.

ExcelerateRep, I wanna minimize dust and noise as small as possible.

Sorry to barge in,

Would stoptech slotted rotors plus hawk pads be a good way to go for track use? I don't need a BBK, I don't care about noise level or dust, Just want the pads/rotors to handle the heat.

Thanks

It really depends on your skill level and what pad you choose. Hawk makes a broad spectrum of pads so saying "does BRAND X work for me in CONDITION Y" really is a worthless question because all brands make all sorts of pads

choose...but choose wisely

Could you please explain the advantages of running overpriced stoptech slotted rotors over any generic brand blank? Besides aesthetics it seams to me that they are a waste of money and offer no benefit in performance.

For what the OP is using the car for there is no reason to go with slotted or drilled rotors, a set of Centric blanks and OE pads would be the best choice.

What I'm getting at is that there is no point for slotted and or cross drilled rotors regardless of intended use.
