Default KW VARIANT 1 COILOVERS

are these coilovers siffer than stock?
do they use factory top mounts?
do they have external resiviours in the rear like stock?
do they have welded mounting nuts on the lower bolt where the strut conects to the control arm?
general review also looking to possibly pick them up soon

yes
yes
i don't know - but i think NO
they should have - otherwise how do you fix it to the lower arm?...

i didn't go for KW because it looked like their springs are not stiffer enough.
recently i saw very nasty thing on my friend's NC Miata with Var1 - the ride is quite stiff but there is a lot of body roll.
what's the point......

The only KWs with external reservoirs are the V3s. And they don't have the nuts welded on the shock, but they do provide nuts that are zip tied to the shock.

Was the car slammed? If so that's your answer. Suspension geometry would be way off.

Resurrecting an old thread here, but I too am interested in the V1s simply because I trust the engineers for the valving, then I can set my own ride height and not worry about dampening/rebound and just hit the track and have fun.

This site lists all versions as having the same spring rate: http://www.jscspeed.com/catalog/Hond...nda_S2000.html
