Default I might have made a dumb mistake

My front pads are due for replacement since last year, so I bought a pair at a nearby Honda dealership
However due to a sudden job relocation, I was away for an year so the pad changing job got postponed..

Anyways I was going to work on it today just to realize the supposedly front pads I bought last year are for the rear (the pads are protected by a box with a label saying "S2000 rear pads", which is then protected by another box with no labels.. So yes.. my mistake on not making sure when I bought it)

So 2 questions:
1) Are the rear pads the same as the front?
2) If the answer to 1) is no, then is it ok to put the rear pads in the front? or do I need to suck it up and buy another pair of front pads? (I don't really mind since I would have an excuse to buy the EBC green stuff)

No, you can't use rear pads on the front - they're 1/3 of the size.

take them back to the parts guys at the dealership, they should be able to exchange them and maybe recall the sale or look it up if you don't have the receipt. Usually a simple transaction.

Yea, I will certainly do that on Monday
But tbh it doesn't really matter to me if they don't exchange them
I'll just order new front pads and then change all 4 corners

Problem solved. They just exchanged it back without questions (didn't even ask for the original receipt)
