Default How to improve the springs on the car?

Hello
I have been riding my S2000 for a while and I always wondered how I could improve the springs on my car.
Every time I am in a neighborhood with bad road or go through the bumps, I can seriously feel it with my body and the car is about to break if I speed it up even a little bit. I know that S2000 is not supposed to be smooth like other cars but I really want to have even a small amount of smoothiness when I am in a bad road.
Is there any way I can change the spring or do anything to make it smooth?

Ur struts might be getting old. With stock suspension and good tires the car rides pretty smooth.

the car is very smooth in the normal road, but as soon as I go through the bump, I either have to slow down to very slow speed or the car goes very hard

Worn out or leaking dampers typically make less damping force than new ones. I've always felt like the stock AP1 dampers created a pretty harsh ride.

OP, springs will not make much of a difference in the ride quality. Ride quality is largely a function of the damper characteristics.

Well, this is not comfortable car at all, and never will be. Softer tires can help. I changed RE050 OEM with Toyo T1R and ride is much softer but still hard core. That's S2000 after all.

Stiffer rear springs and digressive bumb damping make for a smoother ride.

Let some air out of the tires.

Cant do much else other then switch to a single ply sidewall tire to make more compliant, but then it will handle like shit. Always going to be a compromise between comfort and performance in this car. Its a light weight, stiff chassis car with a short wheel base.

Did you buy the car used? Is it at a factory ride height? Is it still on factory shocks/springs? Will the car move significantly if you press down with your hand on the rear quarter?
