Default HELP: Rotor with Deep Grooves Noise?

On the way home from VIR, I noticed that my rear right brakes were making a grinding noise. I limped home from VA to NJ safely. I checked what could be the issue and noticed that one of the pads (worn xp8) had set a deep groove on the rotor. I replaced the rear pads with new xp10s on the same grooved rotor. Is it safe to continue to use this rotor? On the new pads, I noticed a binding noise when the car is rolling backwards. There is no sound when moving forward and the brakes are phenomenal. The rotors have two track days (Watkins Glen & VIR) with about 1800mi total.

... or should the rotor be replaced asap?
