I literally just finished my F&F Type 2 install yesterday. I was planning on making a review thread but I've only had them one day.

Install: The install was straight forward, power tools are your friend. I did the front end with a simple tool kit, no power tools whatsoever.

Adjustment: The coilover is quite simple to adjust, just takes some elbow grease and patience.

Ride Quality: The ride quality is quite better than my old setup which was, Tein S-Techs and stock shocks. The ride is very comfortable and solid as well but it takes bumps much better than factory at the same time eliminating body roll.

Cons: The only con I have identified so far is the lack of height adjustment in the rear coilovers. This resorts to either purchasing extended tophats to increase the range of adjustability or compromise and give up some preload(Which could resort to "Clunking Noise")

Overall: I would recommend them as a good budget coilover for sure. Very quiet ride and its not as harsh as most have reported. A set of D2's I had on my last civic where much harsher(I know the weight and chemistry could be different).

When you say "lack of hight adjustment on the rear" how low could you go on the lowest setting without messing with the the preload?

I have these for about a month now!!

My S 2004 AP2
Setup: running RPF1 17X9+45 All the way around with Hankook v12 255 all four..
I'm drop to pinky finger tight in fronts! rears is the same! the body of the car is about 4"1/4 inch off the ground.. these F2 are suppose to be 12k fronts 10k rears but being this low u lose the pre-load of the springs and on big dip I bottom out bad in the rears. they are way too soft for 12k 10k spring rate, first i thought i did something wrong. the next day i reinstalled all four coilovers even raised the car up about inch and still too soft and I'm maxed out on the setting fronts and rears!! I have done at least 10-15 suspension or coilovers set up for me and friends so I'm not new at this!!! might try tender or helper springs but not sure yet!!...Any suggestions please feel free.

over all the coilovers ride nice and smooth in freeways and DD, But for aggressive driving and bad road with dips these are way to soft for being 12k 10k spring rate!!!

djmike, I installed these over the weekend and I thought they were way too soft, turns out that I had the adjustment set all the way to the soft side, I turned it all the way in the opposite direction and it stiffened up the ride dramatically.

needans2k2, preloading the spring is keep pressure applied to the spring at all times, even when the weight of the car is not compressing it. If you look at a picture of the coilovers uninstalled, the spring sits between the top hat and 2 rings that keeps it tight.

t3am 83rd....Hey bro I try that too!! >S for soft >H for stiff I done it all!! still way to soft for 12k 10k springs, I mean maxed out the setting help abit don't get me wrong but NOT 12K 10K spring rate bro!!my friend Megan 12k spring I installed u can NOT push down on the car at all! a tab bit in the rear but the front stiff bro and not full setting!! these F2? I'm NOT to sure what everyone saying they are stiff u joking me!! like I said I install springs and coilovers for most S2K guys here in Oregon did my own S like 5 time.. oh and being low like me! there is no way to pre-load the springs, Not saying they are bad just NOT stiff I like them so far just wanna be able to be stiff when I want to, as if now it's just bouncing!!! there's got to be a way!!

FYI..Install Eibach Pro kit Springs on my friend S and I can tell u they are stiffer then the F2 by far!! NO Joke ...I might put some spacers in to pre-load the springs and see
