Dust
Do the OEM AP2 front brakes typically produce a lot of brake dust? I bought my 2004 last year and with only 13,000 miles on the clock I assumed that it had stock pads. Within 20 miles of driving my front wheels are filthy with brake dust. Any recommendations for lower dust pads. The car is not tracked or autocrossed so maximum performance is not a necessity. I used Mintex on my 944 Turbo and they produced very little dust and had good performance. Thanks!

20 miles and noticeable dust....doesn't sound like stock pads on a properly functioning brake system.
Take a look at the pads, OP. OEM pads are made by Nissin, IIRC.
Low dust pads are usually ceramic...which are often times more prone to brake vibration and fade. Akebono performance ceramic and powerstop Z23 are *decent* pads when talking about ceramics. Both are low dust. Both will work well on the street. Both are fairly low cost. I have bought them from rockauto.com before.

Easy to remove??? When I wash my car, I spend more time scrubbing each individual wheel than I do washing the whole rest of the car, and the wheels still aren't really clean. I just give up at some point trying to get the dust off.
Stock pads all around. What do you use for wheel cleaner?
