CR Coilovers and Sways on AP1
I just ordered the CR coilovers and sways from Hardtopguy to replace my stock AP1 suspension. Anyone else out there running this setup? If so could you tell me how the CR suspension feels on your AP1? Is it better planted through hard cornering? have you tried autocrossing with this setup?
Any input would be appreciated. I'll repost after I've had the new parts installed

I'm interested to find out what you feel about this after you've installed it as I'm interested in doing the same thing.
If I'm not mistaken, it will lower things about 3/4 in. That was in Honda's marketing material for the CR.

I don't know about the whole lowering thing. I've seen quite a few people that installed the CR suspension, and said the car actually sat higher... even after a few weeks(giving everything plenty of time to settle).

Had the CR suspension installed on my AP1. Put a smile on my face
Not much difference in town. Little more surface feedback and a firm ride. Ride height about the same as stock.
The REAL diffference is on spirited back road driving and autocross. I can drive with more speed into a sweeper and get back on the throttle earlier without having the back end go out. In autocross yesterday I beat my Miata nemesis by 7/10ths and could have pushed a bit harder into and out of the corners. the stiff suspension really helps keep car balanced on uneven course, and even under threshold breaking. Body roll almost non-existent.
I know many S drivers prefer aftermarket adjustable coilovers, but I don't have the aptitude to tinker with adjustments and damper rates. I'd rather leave it to Mr. Shigeru Uehara who designed the S and the NSX.

@the lowering statement. I have a CR in the garage with my AP1...both sit on level ground. The CR sits lower that the AP1 (no measurements taken). But of course the CR is on 17" wheels so I'd assume an AP1 would sit lower than that even. But who knows. Going from one to the other is a dramatic change. The CR is MUCH stiffer and MUCH more responsive(of course).
