Which coilovers? Street, upper midwest - FA500, FA510 or Ohlins DFV

Played around with my settings and shitty back roads again. They're a bit out of the way so I don't drive them frequently but I had the day off; haven't driven them in a while. I'd say that the Ohlins are quite supple over the aforementioned roads. I'm never crashing over the bumps and dips and you never get any hesitation or vagueness with your steering inputs. But again these roads aren't exactly the most fun to drive because of all the constant irregularities. I'd say that the shocks are doing their jobs the best they can with what they have to work with (the road). I think a large component of how hard these roads are to drive is that I'm tram lining a lot and riding the grooves. My steering wheel is constantly getting jerked everywhere by the grooves in the road.

Im in Wisconsin, I have some bilstein pss9 custom valved on swift 12k 11k springs (8 years on current setup) I really like the ride of the car and the roads around me are garbage. This is a apples to oranges comparison but my rhd 180sx has ohlins with swift 8k 5k setup and my s2000 rides much smoother. Those particular ohlins are more setup for track than street. If I were to do it all over again it would be between custom pss9 like I did and the ohlins. Out of the box id stay the ohlins for the s2000 are better, I found the pss9 to be too soft (im also quite low). Cost wise pss9 custom valved and 4 new springs will get you right around the cost of the ohlins. Probably not much help but I thought id throw it out there.

Thanks for the follow up y'all. I've been trying to get more info about the FAs but THM seems to be out of action. No response to PM, email or call... I'd prefer working with them since they're a site sponsor and relatively local but if they're not responding at all...

Will Lóng use to work there and he was the guy who was all over that. You can contact him through Facebook and he can get you some for a good deal still. He's with AMS Performance now which doesn't support the S2K's anymore.
