buddy club n+ reviews
#121
Also, I was searching for some sort of Buddy Club manual to learn more about these. I was also looking for some general information on this site of how coilovers really work but all the stickies about it is very general. Anyone have any good information or URLs?
Thanks.
Thanks.

the "clicks" is the adjustment knob for firmness located on the top of the coilovers. soft-firm
You will only need a zip tie for install to hold the brake line since this model did not come with a built on hanger for the cable.
The preload is achieved by twisting the locking collars into the spring to compress it in,....if you only have the collars touching the spring and not compressed,....when the suspension is weightless,....for instance jacking the car up or when the car becomes unweighted in a turn for example,...the spring will be loose creating a sloppy ride feel,.........lots of people lower the car this way,...instead of taking the coilover off the car they just lower the collars but that just creates more sloppyness.
you wont need a camber kit,..the car stock has enough adjustment.

Thanks for the info. The "clicks" is pretty self explanatory. Is it easy to adjust the clicks? Do it by hand? Easily accessible in the rear?
Glad to know that I won't need a separate camber kit.
Can you explain to me more about the preload, collars, and the compression in laymen terms? How will I know how far I've lowered it just by twisting it?
Thanks again.

Also, from what I'm hearing, I should adjust the drop on the coilovers first, making sure left and right side are even and then install it on the car?
you will have to do that for both front and rear but more than likely you will have to do redo your suspension once you do it just to get it prefect.
the buddyclubs come assembled out of the box so the first thing you should do is take the enclosed spanner tools and "preload" the spring by twisting them up about a half inch to an inch,...just get a tape measure and and measure from the top hat to the bottom of the spring on both so you get the same preload on both sides.
from there then put them side by side with the stock set up and adjust accordingly.

Twisting the piece right below the spring up about .5 to 1 inch?

Or something like this:

The red screw touch the bottom of the spring. I imagine that screwing it to the left will lower the car and to the right will increase the height?
