Default breaking in oem pads?

so i just got new oem pads and my front rotors were resurfaced.
mechanic told me to take it easy for awhile cause of the rotors being resurfaced

but i know i've read that some aftermarket pads need to be broken in properly, is this necessary for oem pads?
