Will wet sand and polish this to blend better?
I just painted my front lip over the weekend and the color is really off. I haven't wet sand and polished it yet. I was wondering will this help to blend better?
The paint was purchased from Automotivetouchup.com.
Here is a current picture. It does look better in person but looking at the picture makes me disgusted.

I wonder if the front bumper was ever repainted? The spoiler might be a decent color match but if the bumper is off in color a little bit then it will really throw off the overall color match. Just a thought. I have been painting for about 10 years and there are many variables that cause these sort of things to happen. Plus that paint code will pull up 5 variances, from lighter, red, cleaner, standard, first information.

I bought the car used with 90k miles so it wouldn't be a surprise if the bumper was repainted.
Update, after a day of sitting out in the sun, it seems to blend a bit better. Maybe the paint wasn't fully dried. I should of waited a bit before putting the lip on. I got really anxious. LOL.
Just took this picture right now.

It is likely a difference in the mix. In certain light it may look similar but it other light like your first pic the color difference will come out. It looks like the lip has a bit more purple than it should. Color match on a pearl is really tough. One thing you may try is doing a full detail on the rest of the car. You'd be amazing how much brighter and more vibrant the old paint can look with a good multi step detail.

We just did an OEM paint match and the front bumper was different from the OEM fenders. I was told by my paint guy (who I trust) that age of paint will lead to it changing color. Of course that could have been his way of saying, "I'm not going to repaint your bumper." haha. It looks good.
