I just finished painting my buddies 92 prelude NFR. He chose color all by himself. Anyway we parked it next to my car to take some pics. As I was walking by I compared the reflection of the grass. WOW, I am not impressed with the S's factory paint job. A lot of orange peal. I always wetsand everything w/ 2000 and buff so it looks great. I am use to painting bikes and quality really maters. I just thought factory paint would have been better than that for the s2k's.

Time to paint..... Yes, I am a big fan of OEM. Yes, I am a big fan of color.

The Black Cherry is growing on me. So is the Imola Orange (by popularity). The Lime Green is beautiful (IMO). Paint is really hard to pic w/o actually seeing it in person painted on something.

Anyone know how many coats of clear go onto it at the factory ?

I have done 8 coats on a bike before.
I will do 3 on the S. Wetsand then buff.

as long as it's thicker than oem clearcoat! it's so thin
