AZ-S2000

Buying an S2K. Front and rear bumper needs to be re-painted eventually. Anyone have an idea what the front and rear bumper go for on painting? I can prep myself.

Silverstone is a hard color to match because of the metallic. I would highly suggest you get the bumpers as well as the whole front end re-sprayed, and blend into the rear quarters and possibly trunk lid. If you dont your car will not match. My last S2000 was Silverstone and after a dealership did some damage to my hood, it took about 3-4 months and countless trips to the bodyshop to fix my car. They started out only wanting to fix the scratches and re-paint/blend that area. Didnt work so they re sprayed the whole hood, which then didnt match the fenders. Then their bodyshop guy took a powerwashing to the front of my car and ended up getting in behind some chips and pulled a bunch of paint off. SO after fighting that and going back to the shop for the 4th time they finally took the advice I gave them from day one...re spray the entire front end of the car and blend into the doors.

So moral of the story is they tried to do as little as possible to save money, and in the end spent probably 4 times the amount it would have cost to follow my instructions and do it right the first time...which is to respray and blend the entire front and rear of the car. My car was in top shape as well and was always a garage kept car and detailed so the paint was in great shape before this incident. If you are is old and paint is damaged it will be that much harder to match it.

fml. I agree.. I can imagine its easy to spot respray because you'll see dark spots.. specially on a silver color.

Im in the same boat. The whole car could really use some body work... Think to save time and money I am just going to get the dents poped out and then have my buddy @stickerbomb.com vinal wrap the whole car some sort of metalic ups brown or army green.

Ohhhh I forgot about wrap.. Honestly, I might go that route because this car needs to be entirely sanded and repainted. Its been touched up before. I can see the over-spray. Crappy job as well. So I think my best bet is the get it wrapped as well.
